The City of Pomegranates

Our last stop, before spending a night in Madrid was the beautiful city called "Pomegranate," or, "Granada."  We stayed in a pretty nice hotel right in the center of the city which was really great.  The only unfortunate part about our stay in Granada is that it was really chilly and rainy the entire time.  One evening we were waiting for the processions to go by only to find out that they had been cancelled due to the rain.

Monastery of Saint Jerome
Between all of the raindrops, I loved showing her around all of the main parts of the center of the city and some of the best places to eat like Café Fútbol.  I think she really enjoyed showing me a monastery that she discovered in the city.  We of course went to the Alhambra (after a last minute freak-out that we wouldn't be able to get tickets) and then spent a little bit of time exploring the streets up in the Albaicín.

It was a great time and
I am so, so grateful that she was able to come and visit me!
